Cold Rolled Sheet

Cold-rolled sheet is a hot-rolled sheet that has gone through further processing. After making hot-rolled sheets, the steel is cooled down at room temperature in cold reduction mills and then they go through annealing or tempers rolling. The additional process ensures that the final product has closer dimensional tolerances and better surface finishes.

Cold-rolled sheets have a lower carbon content than hot-rolled sheets making them softer. Thus, it is used in projects where tolerance, straightness, surface conditions, and precise shapes are essential factors.
